Thirty-four kilometres of DINU roads: what supervision looks like at district scale
02 March 2026 · 1 min read · Kubariho Venture, Project Manager
The DINU programme asked Moyo District Local Government to rehabilitate 34.36 km of district and community access roads across three separate contracts: Laropi–Paanjala, Celecelea–Lama–Gbalala and Mawa Road–Orokombaa. SANS LIMITE acted as Supervising Engineer.
Road rehabilitation at this scale is less about heroic design and more about consistency: culvert levels, subgrade compaction, drainage outfalls and environmental compliance must read as one programme even when three contractors are working in parallel.
Weekly site diaries, photographic progress records and a shared non-conformance register let the district and the donor see the same story. The roads are the deliverable; the discipline of reporting is what keeps them funded to completion.
